So I Know Some Of Y'll Are Like Tabi Who? Don't be alarmed I'm not trying to confuse you. Tabi Bonney (Tabiabuè Bonney) is one of the nation's capital's new surfaced rap artist. Bonney was born in Lome, Togo, West Africa but grew up in North Eastern D.C.'s Langdon Park. His childhood involved moving from continent to continent (including Africa, Europe, and N. America) He attended Florida A&M where he received two degrees, a masters in Biology and Secondary Education and an undergrad in Biology Pre-Med. Tabi and fellow rapper Haziq Ali combined efforts to form the group Organized Rhyme; which also happens to be the name of the independent label he is signed under. This eventually led to performing as the opening act for the likes of Outkast, LL Cool J, and Cam'ron. The rapper, presses the envelope, setting him apart from the rest. "I just got tired of everybody being a thug and looking exactly alike," says Tabi. This attitude spawned his debut album A Fly Guy's Theme (2006). The album brings the fresh back to hip-hop. One listen and you'll see why Tabi is feeling and doing good.
